Job Summary:

The Engineering and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering, maintenance, and reliability activities within the foam manufacturing plant. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical background, exceptional managerial skills, and a focus on optimizing equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards specific to the automotive industry.

1. Team Leadership:
• Provide leadership and direction to the engineering and maintenance teams.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team through training and mentorship.
2. Maintenance Planning and Execution:
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of foam manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and implement improvements.
3. Engineering Project Management:
• Lead and oversee engineering projects related to process improvement, equipment upgrades, and new technology implementation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
4. Reliability and Asset Management:
• Implement strategies to enhance the reliability and longevity of foam manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize predictive maintenance techniques to minimize unplanned downtime.
5. Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures tailored to the automotive industry.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
6. Budget Management:
• Develop and manage the engineering and maintenance department budget.
• Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 6 years of experience in engineering and maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in foam manufacturing for the automotive industry.
• Proven experience in project management, budgeting, and team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of foam manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with automotive industry standards and quality requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Bilingual Skills English – Spanish.
