Position Purpose: Monitors and maintains inventory control of merchandise or materials. This role will is 2nd shift (2:30pm - 10:00pm) and onsite 5-days a week at our High Point, NC plant. 

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with warehouse and production management as well as lead personnel to accurately direct the movement of raw material to and from production floor and warehouse
  • Manage and maintain production orders daily
  • Train new/existing employees on SAP
  • Uses SAP to maintain inventory records
  • Audits raw and finished goods inventory
  • Conducts WIP (Work-In-Process) audits
  • Work closely with the leads and supervisors to make sure all inventory is properly tagged with appropriate label information and located in the correct warehouse position
  • Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved.
  • Look into/fix MUV variances
  • Responsible for month-end and/or quarterly Inventory and monthly cycle counts
  • Wraps and/or packs, labels and records raw materials for return to warehouse
  • Follows 5s and Safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training in all areas of inventory management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

 

Education / Certifications:

  • High School Diploma and/ or equivalent

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • This position requires the wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of eye protection while on the production floor as well as hearing protection in designated areas.

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, regularly exposed to noise levels in the work environment which are moderate to loud, and exposed to temperature ranging from moderate to high depending on the time of year and location of the work being done.
